More Than Brushes
More than Brushes is a not-for-profit community art group organised by volunteers, Justyna and Beth.
It runs on Thursdays 7.30pm – 9.30pm and Fridays 2pm – 4pm in the Walter Rose Room. £5 pay as you go.
We welcome anyone with an interest in art in a supportive environment with like-minded people. You can either experiment and try out new mediums or you can do your own thing. Everyone can work at their own pace and there’s no pressure to create a finished piece. We use a variety of media and provide help and encouragement to each other.
We introduce themes and inspiration to provide a starting point to try out new materials and gain confidence each in our individual style. Instruction is experiential, learning by doing, and not by demonstration or formal teaching of techniques.
Materials are provided although some members prefer to bring their own.
Coffee, tea and biscuits are available throughout the sessions.
If you are interested to know more, please contact Beth on 07866 504 780 or drop in during the group times.
